Royal Opera House Visit

On Wednesday, 25 excited children and 5 adults set off bright and early at 7:30am for a special trip to London’s Royal Opera House to see The Nutcracker ballet. The coach was full of chatter and anticipation as we made our way to the capital city.

The journey  brought an unexpected highlight. Although we were caught in traffic, the delay turned into a moment of fun when we passed Hamleys toy shop. Outside, lively elves were waving and dancing, much to the delight of the children, who pressed their faces to the windows and waved back enthusiastically.

The performance was absolutely stunning. From the graceful dancers to the beautiful music, the children were completely absorbed in the magical story unfolding on stage. During the interval, everyone enjoyed a refreshing ice cream, which added an extra treat to the day.

We finally arrived back at school at 7:20pm, tired but full of wonderful memories. It was a long day, but every moment was worth it. Experiences like this give our pupils the chance to enjoy world-class performances and create memories that will stay with them for years to come.
