Read all about it...
It's not often you get to wear your PJ's to work/school. But today is World Book Day and our theme has been to relax and read. The reading café has been open for parents and children all day, giving parents the opportunity to come into school and read with their child, complete reading activities or listen to stories being told. Mrs Squires started the day with reception, reading the children a book called 'The Wheels on the Bus'. It was a take on the nursery rhyme song with baboons in balloons! Next, Year 1 went along to the cafe where Miss Baker read one of her favourite stories, 'Room on the Broom', with the children. She even got a round of applause at the end! Mrs Ambleton did a fantastic job reading a story about pirates. She's a fantastic storyteller! Mrs Roberts and Miss Bedford were on hand making tea and coffee and chatting to parents. Thank you to so many parents for coming along and enjoying the session.
