Inspiring the next generation

Today we had a super proud moment in school when one of our ex-pupils, Asiba, came to school alongside two of her colleagues to deliver an assembly and workshops for some of our year 5 & 6 children around engineering and careers in engineering.

 

Asiba delivered a wonderful assembly about her journey at Cape and beyond to the world of work where she is currently completing her civil engineering apprenticeship and working on the new HS2 project.

 

Some of Asiba's family still attend Cape. Whilst Asiba was here she was always a fantastic role model and this has clearly continued as she inspires the next generation. At the end of the session one of our Year 5 girls came to Miss Baker to say she was going to be a project manager. It looks like we may have a number of children looking at a career in engineering in the future!
