The office will be open from Monday 5th September-Wednesday 7th September for enquiries.

Year 1 - Year 6 return to school Thursday 8th September.

Reception & Nursery start school Monday 12th September.

  • Goodbye and good luck to our fabulous Year 6 children

    Thu 21 Jul 2022

Today we have said goodbye to our Year 6 children. They move on to pastures new and begin the next chapter of their journey. It was lovely talking to them today about the memories of Cape and plans for the future. Be fabulous Year 6, work hard, try your best and remember you are always part of the Cape family.

  • Commonwealth Games

    Wed 20 Jul 2022

Look out for Mrs Cleal and Miss Baker who will be volunteering at the Commonwealth Games over the summer. They will be at Alexander Stadium helping to look after the media. Make sure, if you get the chance to try and spot the Queen's Baton Relay as it goes through Smethwick on Monday 25th July.

  • Heat High Five!

    Tue 19 Jul 2022

A huge well done to everyone for surviving the heat of the last couple of days! The children and staff have been brilliant. We've had cooling foot spas, ice lolly breaks, water mist sprays and keeping cool activities.

The children have behaved impeccably well, not complaining about staying inside out of the sun and when they have been outside for some fresh air they have sat quietly under the canopies listening to a story or chilling.

    Well done everyone!

  • It's a heatwave

    Thu 14 Jul 2022

Here is a message from Sandwell Council regarding the predicted heatwave over the next week:

    Message to parents

With temperatures likely to reach the highest ever recorded in Britain, please look after those most vulnerable in your lives. Children, the elderly and those with long term health conditions may need help keeping cool and hydrated in hot weather.

Help them avoid heat related illness by:

    • checking they stay hydrated with plenty of fluids
    • helping to provide a cool living space
    • encouraging them to avoid strenuous or extreme activities
    • keeping them out of the sun at peak times
    • providing a sunhat, sunglasses and applying plenty of sun-cream when outside

If you or someone else feels unwell with a high temperature during hot weather, it may be heat exhaustion or heatstroke. Find out about the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke, and when to get help
