Today we are saying a fond farewell to one of our longest serving members of staff. Mrs McLaren will be retiring today after over 30 years service to the children and families in our school. Mrs McLaren has worked with children from nursery up until year 6 and will be missed by us all. The children gave her some beautiful flowers and our Cape 8 badges and a huge three cheers! We all wish her well in her retirement when she will have more time for holidays, nice lunches and spending time with family and friends. She is especially looking forward to not having to get up early for school!
Good luck and thank you Mrs McLaren!
We break up tomorrow for the Easter holidays. School will re-open on Monday 17th April 2023. We wish everyone a lovely break - let's hope for some nice spring weather!

We do have some strike action this week. Parents will be informed via text how and when classes are being affected.
The school will be closed on Friday 10th March 2023 due to the weather conditions and a flooded boiler house.

We have had lots of book fun in school today to celebrate World Book Day 2023. All of the children and staff had the opportunity to dress up as a character from a book. We had lots of Harry Potters, Willy Wonkas, the tiger who came to tea, Anne of Green Gables, Alice in Wonderland and plenty of princesses and superheroes. We also had lots of children dressed as their very own autobiography! Thank you so much for making the effort to dress up and enjoy your favourite books!

In addition, all children should complete their e-books for reading. All children have log ins for TT Rockstars, Education City and Purple Mash so children can also use these platforms to choose curriculum work linked to the topic in the curriculum leaflets parents received at teh start of the term.
