  • Edgmond Hall - Day 3 update!

    Wed 19 Oct 2022

After a busy day yesterday building shelters and camp fires together and learning to be fencers and archers the children enjoyed dinner of veggie sausages and mash! They enjoyed sitting around the campfire in the dark before bed!

Today the children will be feeding and visiting the animals and developing their mapping skills. There will be a pirate map challenge before heading back to base for lunch and returning to school.

Mrs Silk reported that all was well and the children have enjoyed themselves!

The children will hopefully be returning to school by 2pm, when they can be collected by parents.

  • Edgmond Hall - Day 2 Update

    Tue 18 Oct 2022

After a busy day yesterday settling in to their new home for the next few days the children enjoyed and afternoon of team working and mapping skills. This was followed by a tasty supper of vegetarian curry with naan bread. After dinner, the children went on a torchlight adventure.

You would have thought at the end of a busy day the children would have fallen asleep straight away. However, the excitement got the better of a few children who were up late into the night chatting.

This morning the children have got up to a bright and sunny day and have a busy schedule planned including, archery, fencing, shelter building and fire lighting. There is even a pirate ship activity planned to defend the ship! Later on tonight the children will enjoy sitting around the camp fire in the dark.

It sounds like a fabulous day - we'll keep you posted as to how they get on!
